Focus on the exam - the story so far

As you'll recall, section (a) of your exam is based very much on this project. Over the break, I would therefore like you to create a blog entry, or series of blog entries, focusing on "prevision" - basically, considering the areas you may be asked to look at in the exam in the context of what you have done so far. You could do one long piece, one piece each for each section, or a series of shorter reflections. You should aim to use a range of media in order to show your versatility.


Section A
You should compare your understanding of the following areas in relation to you foundation portfolio/ blog and how you have improved. You should refer to specific examples and go into as much detail as possible. You should also cross-reference with your AS blog.

• Creativity
• Research and planning
• Using conventions from real media texts

Section B
You should consider your ideas in relation to the following key concepts, explaining clearly how you your developing work demonstrates and explores them. Of course, your ideas might change - this is more a "work in progress" reflection. Remember - the more evidence and detailed analysis you can bring into it, the more valuable the task.

• Genre
• Narrative
• Representation
• Audience

Of course, you should also make sure that your blog is up to date with all planning and pre-planning work (for example, research, branding etc. as well as storyboards, scripts, scenario breakdowns etc.)
