What should you have on your blog?

I've suggested that you look at Kathryn Dowson's blog from two years ago and Zoe Crick's from last year in order to get an idea of what you should have on your blogs. To put it in context, Kathryn had nearly 100 posts on her blog by the end of October. At the very least, by this point you should have:
  • General research into the genre you are working in
  • Specific research into examples from the genre, including deconstructions of a range of products
  • Summary of your findings
  • Some consideration of print products in the area you are working in
  • Initial trials/ examples linked to your developing ideas
  • Initial notes linked to planning/ developing work
  • Your branding (logos/ schemes/ umbrella design concepts etc)
  • Research into your target audience
  • Your pitch
  • A treatment
  • Blog entries linked to the skills/ key concepts you will be considering in the exam
I cannot reccomend using Kathryn's blog as a model highly enough, since she covered all the basis in depth and achieved an A.

Remember - you should be aiming to do at least 3 blog entries a week (one every other day) so you should have at least 30 so far... if not, you need to get up to speed quickly.
